Picture of the Week #378
Welcome to another round of Picture of the Week (POTW). This is edition #378, covering 06 October - 18 October 2015.

Since I started the thread a little late last week and I'm a bit late this week, I dated this one to run until the 18th to get it back to a Sunday to Sunday schedule. I've been busy with a lot of stuff and photography wise, it's been the task of PP on several hundred shots of motocross racing from a couple of weeks ago. A little older than just last week but other than my moon shots from last weekend, I haven't touched my camera and I'm still finishing up PP on the racing shots.

These were shot at the Paradox MX park in Granville, NY a couple of weeks ago. It was the last race on the calendar although they did schedule a last minute make up race for a cancelled event last summer which I will miss. Shot with a K5 and a very old and beat up but still doing the job, Sigma 70-300.

Those are some great shots. It's unfortunate after a great day of two of shooting that you have to take the time to download and process them all, sometimes makes you lose the groove.

Yeah, the PP can be tedious but I'm beginning to get some income with prints from the racers. It comes with the territory. Doing these events do give you a taste of what a "professional" photographer is. It's a lot of work!
Nice shots from farm country. I love old barns.

The bulldog image — titled "Want To Pet Me?" — is straight out of my K-x.

The dahlia bud was shot with a Raynox M150 and a Pentax 50mm f1.4 on my tripod-mounted K-x, with light coming through our sliding glass door.

It's been a busy weekend. I had a wedding to shoot on Saturday and a motorcycle event today. Another several hundred shots in my PP backlog but I need to get these done. Here's one of the wedding shots.

Couple from today, field on the way into town has Elk and a lot of Deer. All the deer ran soon as i turned around, some of the Elk stayed around.



This one stopped for a drink, I got a few shots when he turned around and watched me for a minute.





I guess if I don't post a bird you'll think I'm sick so here's a Kingfisher that flew by this morning.
