Some more varied K-1 examples - a great hiking and travel ultra-wide companion for the D-FA 28-105.
Inside a charred Redwood tree stump. Great flare control allowed tone-mapping from a single exposure.
A very windy moonlit night (single 30s exposure) - not a lens for serious wide-open astro-shots, but capable of atmospheric nighttime landscapes
Closeups have a lot of context. At F/4.5, the DoF is shallow enough to isolate details.
South Kaibab Trail Sunrise. My prime use, closed down to F/9-F/13 for landscapes.

I bought mine exactly
because I hoped it would be similar on the K-1 to my HD DA 15 on K-5. Similar, yes, just not quite the same unbelievable flare-buster. I occasionally have some weird ghosting with the sun in the frame but have yet to miss a shot because of this though; a slide composition adjustment does the trick most of the time. Mine is next to perfect resolution-wise in the center and catches up at the edges by ~F/11, really late but still perfectly usable. Colors so far seem consistent with the D-FA 28-105, much closer than e.g. the DA 70.
