OMG what have I become?

I was a cellphone and P&S type person. I owned an old DSLR, two kit zooms, and one prime, but I never ever carried them around.

Then I purchased PENTAX Q7 with a 02 zoom in Jan. 2015.

Fast forward 22 months. This is my small backpack I use everyday for work.

It contains my work-related stuff as well as Q7 kit.

These are what I actually brought to work.

If I went back in time and told myself from 22 months ago that I would be bringing a camera, two kit zooms, one normal-ish prime, a fish-eye, another lens for macro, one telescope for when I happen to see a hawk perching on top of an electricity pole or something, yet another lens that I'd be "just testing", a CPL filter and ND filters, plus some spare batteries and SD cards and a remote, in addition to my work-related things, and that they all fit in a small backpack and aren't too heavy that I can actually carry around with zero problem whatsoever, I would have laughed and thought that future me was insane (and would have cried later).

And yet here I am. What have I become? I don't even feel bad.

We need to start a 12 step section of the forum for all the ailments that afflict us, GAS, LBA, BBA? etc.

Hey show us some of the images you've taken that make it worth the back pain .

Nice kit! If only Pentax could give us an EVF!

Becoming a crazy person should be something to lament for, but I'm, you know, sort of, enjoying...
That only proves that I'm crazy, I guess you two are right.

Last year I taught part-time at a local college At just about this time of the year, I headed back to my car one day and saw a couple of maintenance men using their cell phones to photograph a hawk in a nearby tree; so, I did the same, of course, but when I loaded the image onto my computer, I had to admit that it was a truly pathetic image, mainly because the cell phone's lens is so wide-angle {better for selfie's, I guess}. After that I included my Q-7 kit in my book bag every day. I never did see that hawk again, but having the Q-7 kit with me caused me to go to work with added enthusiasm each day.

Believe me I have no back pain, but even if I had, the fun of taking these shots would have been worth it.
These were all shot on the way to/from or at my work place.

I don't know what you've become but I just became a little bit jelous.

Very nice shots by the way, made me put the fish-eye back in my wish list again.
