Pentax Vector Artwork (updated 7 Jun. 2014)

I've been disappointed by the lack of good quality Pentax logos and artwork out there on the Net. So beginning today, I'm working up a portfolio of vector artwork that is highly scalable and compatible across computer programs and platforms.

First off... a set of artwork for the Asahi Pentax K series. The artwork is my gift to the Pentax community -- feel free to use it as you wish, but please credit your source.
Comments and criticisms are welcome.

UPDATE June 2014: Updated artwork for the Pentax 6x7, 67, 645, 645D/Z series.
added Pentax 645Z and Ricoh logos
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Acknowledgement: some of the artwork is my own, the remainder is kindly supplied by Pentax.

6x7, 67, 645, 645D/Z series

The jpeg is just a preview. Click the image and download the full zipped vector file.

Added M-series artwork -- see first post.

All artwork now contains two additional files (.eps and .pdf) for direct use in Photoshop -- see updated K-series.

very nice! Thanks for sharing!

what is the best way to use them if I want to put them as water mark in my picture?
Like I want to put the 67II in my picture (PSD file in CS5), is open the vector file in AI, copy the image, then paste in the PSD in CS5 as layer?
if I want to change color I will just do color overlay inside the CS5?

(I just tried that and just wonder if there is a better way).

They are very nice, thank!!

Your version of PS should be able to open the EPS and PDF files directly as rasterized images. I use an older version (v. 7) which asks what dimensions and resolution I want to open the file at. Experimenting with the resolution (anything from 72 to 300 px/in) will automatically change the size and give a smooth rasterization of the images appropriate to the size. I'm not sure, but newer versions of PS may import and be able to use the vector images directly.

Anyway, I would experiment and open the image using PS at the size appropriate to your original picture, crop the "67II" logo and paste it in as a new layer. I'd then resize using Transform/Scale and recolour using the colour selections on the Image/Adjustments menu.

Hope that helps.

Yes, but I'm presently distracted by computer "upgrades". A month or so and I'll have most of my distractions out of the way... I hope.

Great thread and idea!
Found some original vector graphics recently (A to DFA*, MZ-S, lens pictures, mount comparisions).

cool. i've done a bunch of vector stuff in the past, based on the old boxes. have made a font based on the box lettering... incomplete though. there are a couple more in that same flickr album... although i didn't upload all of them. for some reason, the colors really got destroyed going from my pc to flickr to the bbs... anyway:
