K-01 and FA 50 1.4

Wondering if anyone has any feedback on how well the FA 50 1.4 functions on the K-01.

Thanks

It works just as well on my K-01 as it does on my K-5iis.

Excellent. Just purchased a copy of the lens and was planning on mounting it on a K-01 when it arrives.

Should be fine. I've only had problems with a couple of zooms on the K-01, not with any primes.

This combination works like a charm. Excellent for portraits.

I agree that the FA 50mm f/1.4 is excellent for portraits. What you may be asking is how the AF works in contrast based focusing system as found in the K-01. I have never had problem with either phase detection or contrast detection focusing when using this lens. Contrast based systems are slower but that's about it. I like this lens better than the FA 50mm f/1.7.

Both were made on a K-30 which has a sensor similar to what is in the K-01.

I have try it.
Use aperture 2 not 1.4 for more sharpness.
Great combinations!

6BQ5 - the issue of contrast based focussing was really the question I was most interested in. Looks like it focuses well on the K-01 from what everyone is saying
