What Is Your Pentax of OTHER Things?

Besides the obvious of being Pentaxians, we all in one way or another are loyal to Pentax and stick by them when we have the choice of other camera makers. Are you that way other things?

For me, I consider myself a one brand man. I tend to do a lot of research on products and stick to the brand that offers me the most bang for my buck rather than buying what everyone else. If anything else, I like to be different.. See my list:

Televisions: Vizio
Vehicles: Hyundai
Computers/Printers: HP (although I prefer Mac OS)
Rifles: Mossberg
Motorcycles: Kawasaki

Here's a kicker for me. The more hate these products get or the more people try to persuade me to go with the "more popular" things out, the more loyal I become. I'm sure we can relate as Pentaxians.

Example: Been a Vizio guy since 2007 when almost everyone said they suck. They seem to be doing well now.

What about you guys?

When I was still riding, I was always a Kawasaki guy. I've owned a bunch, from an H2 750 triple through the Concours 1000. I still try to keep up with them these days. I've been building PCs using only AMD processors for the past 15 yrs or so, although my laptop has an i5. As far as vehicles, I was a Pontiac guy for years, but my last few cars have been Nissans. I'm sure I'll think of a few more examples later...

Interesting...what am I, the kind of guy that can't leave well enough alone.

TVs: Samsung
Monitor: Dell
Vehicle: Hyundai
Computer: Lenovo (because I do not prefer Mac OS)
Rifles: Sako, Savage, Ruger customized, Tactical Solutions customized
Pistol: 3 Custom built .45acp 1911s, CZ75 customized, Springfield P9 customized and several Smith and Wesson revolvers, two of them built by "Apex Tactical" the revolver magicians.
Motorcycles: Suzuki
Shotgun: Winchester Model 12 and a Double Diamond over and under.
Lenses: Pentax, Takumar, Vivitar, Zenitar, Chinon, Kenko

Most important of all is CAMERA: PENTAX, although I have owned Nikon a long time ago before my Spotmatic, ME Super, istDS, istD, K100D, K10D, K5 and "Homer" my Q.

I stick only to the most bang for my buck, not on brands at all. I may prefer better customer service and stick to that company. Like between two popular here companies I prefer only the one.

Keep them coming guys, this is definitely interesting!

One of the reasons I started this thread was to see if there was something I'm missing in other future purchases perhaps. Before my wife went a bought a Fitbit Charge HR, she asked me to find the Pentax of wristband heart monitor thingies. Obviously because I didn't, she ended up getting the "Popular" Fitbit. Wondering if there is something better out there that offers more in the same price range but is lesser known?

I'm only like that with brand name food. I loathe most generic food. Very seldom does it even taste remotely like the brands I really like. My ketchup has to be Hunts or Heinz. My poppy seed dressing has to be Brianna's. My fried potatoes have to be Ore Ida. I just really don't like most store brands etc. I do prefer Sansa Mp3 players, but that's about it. My main photo equipment brand is Pentax but I'm not completely closed to others. I have Olympus, Yashica gear too. Monitors I buy the biggest one I can afford that has decent reviews. TV's I don't use anymore so I really could not care less. Vehicle, I've always had a Chevy or a Ford, but I don't disdain other car makers and in fact I'm very partial to Volkswagon cars and have always wanted a bug. I also like Jags, but that's just a fantasy car thing for me. Oh, and I don't drink anything but real Coke (preferably Mexi) or once in a while an RC. I loathe Pepsi and would not drink store brand soda for anything. I'm bit more flexible when it comes to other kinds of soda, but not with cola.

The only pattern I've established likely to continue with future acquisitions -

Camera: Pentax
Motorcycle: Yamaha
Four-wheeled-box: Toyota

I preferred Remington bolt-actions when I was still collecting.

There isn't another Pentax.

Shoes: Russell Moccasin
Rods: R. L. Winston or pre-1970 split cane
Reels: Ross
Dogs: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Pen: Rotring
Backpacking: Kelty
American Poet: Whitman
American Philosopher: Emerson

Everything else is left-brain like Subaru (and Pentax) or Invisible Dad Stuff like Honda.
