I just unignored Rupert, and it appears he's saying the same 'uncivilized' things about me that he was several months ago. Graphics had already had his 'second chance, so who knows what he's saying.

I think it's defintely a better situation in some respects: before, it seemed that every thread was a pretext for Obama-hate and the like.
I left for awhile due to those posts, and the regular variety of stupid ones. I'm a bit more selective this time around.

Say it twice, it's twice as nice.

Someone just said it was 'civilized' to say, 'All this is RML putting a 'kick me' sign' on her back, in my moral superiority, I had to kick!

Personal responsibility! She made me do it!

*guffaw*

*civilized.*

Bwahaha.

Civilized, they say.

Civilized.

This ain't 'civilized.' It's just e-barbarity.

Nah! This place is just fine, and old Rupert is the same old easy going guy he always was.......not much change here except we can use sharper tools to hack up our opponents. I like that, it makes for a cleaner and neater kill.
Best Regards to All!

Who do you propose to 'kill,' Rupert?

On civilization? It's been tried. We now call it the 'dark ages.'

Who do you propose to *kill,* Rupert?

FWIW, exactly the same thing happened when a forum in which I participate devoted to wine moved the politics to a separate forum from an "anything goes" forum. Call me a killjoy, but I was not even tempted to post in the General Talk section as brutal as it was before.
Couldn't agree with this more. I disliked participating in General Talk before because everything and anything could be misconstrued as a political/religious reference, and the thread would inevitably derail and stop being interesting. Now the topics in General Talk are far more interesting, and if I need to bash some heads, I can head into Politics/Religion and start hurling insults at people who know how to take them

Oh, and, btw, if we're in any kind of danger of becoming 'too civilized,' I think you can trust the neo-tribalist punker to let you know.

Which is actually kind of amusing. Such a constant as it always was, I never expected the 'Moral Christians' to make *vulgarity* quite so *official.* While apparently demanding I wear an apron and spit out puppies I can't or at least pretend I can, all the day and night.... While being a 'bum' for not earning a double-income... Even if gentility was always so subversive back in the day.

Really.

You 'Moral absolutists' think that's how tae treat little old helpless me?

Gods, you think you control the whole blessed biopshere and all in it, ...can't even dress the part. Feh.

'Too civilized? ' Comb your Godsforsaken hair and put on a clean shirt before you talk to me about 'too civilized.' Phhhbt.
OK , so much for a kinder gentler group, must just be the Mod Squad is giving us more lattitude.
Did I miss something that someone said about aprons and puppies?
To whom are you giving wardrobe and grooming advice?

Well, I'll tell you this. Anyone who wants to claim I oughtta be barefoot and preggers as some kind of natural order at least better be able to speak with decorum and not be walking around in what was *underwear* last time people were talking like that.

I mean, seriously, you 'big boys' gonna put me in 'my place' and can't even find your own manners, can't even *dress* like gentlemen, never mind govern your own tongues? Who are you, my 'protectors?' You do nothing but say 'B---- was asking for it.'

Or, what... Maybe you're protecting the world *from* me by being like that, while you were mocking me for being a cripple in the name of yer Jesus? This is yer 'manhood?'

Your 'civilized?

*snerk*
Seriously.

Forget about it.

Eh, just thought I'd see what I'd find if I unignored Rupert, found you joining in the bullying in the name of 'traditional values... ' whattya want? What do I know, after all, right?

Gee that attempt at civillity went well. At what point was I bullying in this thread? I simply found it interesting that things changed a little when they moved us here.
And who in the wide world of sports is running around in underwear telling you that you should be barefoot and pregnant?

That was a joke about people speaking coarsely wearing T-shirts saying I ought to obey 'Biblical values.'

Would you like to start over, Seacapt?

*offering hand.* Hi. They call me RML around here, sometimes, 'Ratlady.' How ya doing?
