Hi

I have just noted in the German Press that PENTAX has appointed the noted Point of Sale and Brand Awareness Promotion Company "ProfiFlitzer" with its HQ in Berlin to promote the PENTAX brand name. The company ProfiFlitzer currently has under its wings (among others) such brand names as Packard Bell, Olympus and Acer. However Profiflitzer's activities span only countries such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Maybe it is just a start and other countries will follow.

That is good news. Well they have a bigmarket goal I thinkin selling alot of 645D camera's (1.000 camera'a year). Maybe you can buy them in future also in Media Markt or Saturn?

Well their US promotion dept have been doing a really good job so far, so hopefully the German one can keep up and even top it

Would be nice to get more economies of scale and possibly one day we might see that elusive pentax FF

Who says PENTAX doesn't advertise; It's just a shame there is not enough money to put some juice into the neon sign.

You must have stayed in the same hotel as I did. The sign was lit when I was there in 2006.

When I was in Shanghai (as a tourist), I was in that square and did see the sign (properly lit). However, that was not an advertisement, but a shop sign. I got all exited and thought I could find some cool stuff, however, that was medical equipment store. Needless to say, I was not interested.

I am guessing you could be correct in this assumption. Maybe they have been hired to merely turn on all the blackened out neon sings in Europe.
