The planed 645II for end of 2013 is stopped,Ricoh is fixing it like the K-3 old (Pentax) to the K-3 (Ricoh)
And it looks like, the 35mm project is top in target.

Best regards

I have now heard three times that Ricoh has stopped (Pentax) projects in process to rework and make them better (Ricoh) products. This first came in a high-level, private conversation about the vacuum of information and products in the spring and summer. I am seriously, deeply encouraged to hear this again. It fits my concept of where Ricoh wants to take Pentax and it fits the overall culture of quality of Ricoh globally. I am convinced we are going to be very happy and I believe we will see a significant new product or a rework of several existing products announced monthly for a few YEARS.

Wow, if it's converter + 18-70 F/2.8 + 20-40 Limited, Ricoh/Pentax is really swinging for the fences!

I know that K-3,converter,645II and the Limited zoom were changed to the old Pentax plan mit 2012.
The * Line is maybe off, cause * means in this time SDM!!! and the highest quality, but SDM is the motordrive......so,we think SDM will come again in a complete new productline.
Looks like new stuff is to see @ CP+.

Oh you misunderstood - I was laughing at the Duh duh DUUUHHHHHH in the prior post - which is a "scare tone" in bad TV mystery serials here. I think the OP used it sarcastically, so I laughed.

I have still 2 informations.....
2,8-4,0 18-70 range and 2,8 18-70 range.
Same with the Limited zoom.I know about since month that is in production, but didn´t know that it is DC and WR
So,nice to see that it is DC and WR
Ricoh is strong, but a good powerup to Pentax
Better than the HOYA way

1.4x tele as long as it's weather sealed. 120-380 zoom would be lovely as I need something longer than the 60-250 DA*, but needs to be weather sealed.

Looks like 2 new telelenses/telezoom next first half of the year.
Every new Lens in higher grade is WR in future.
Only cheap kits are without WR,still.
Maybe Ricoh goes to 100% WR.

That´s right, but look to the K-500 and the Kitlenses.
I think it is the last Not WR camera and will be replaced mid 2014.
Latest @ next Photokina.

Before anyone assumes anything, the f/2.8 on the supposed 18-70mm lens is only rumor. When it first came onto the roadmap, it was a DA* lens, and that's why people assumed it was going to be f/2.8. I seriously doubt that, though; there are no other constant f/2.8 zooms covering that range. And if there would be, they would probably be heavy and big - something Pentax is not known for.

I think there are 2 possibilities: it will either be an f/2.8 zoom with a more limited range (maybe a successor to the 16-50), or it will be a slower zoom (maybe to replace the 17-70).
