Get these down to 3-4k then there's no need for FF

Very nice promotional clip.

What I found most exciting was some of the Z's appeared to be tethered!
And I am trying to read the font on the screen at around the 2:48mark and it looks like the program for the tethering is titled as "ricoh.cosessiondb" although it is hard to make out.
I do not believe the software will be released for a few months yet? And if that is indeed the tethering software from Ricoh/Pentax being used in the clip then it is good to see it is already functional and good to go.

I also like the very last few sentences of the video, with the Pentax representative stating the commitment that Ricoh has to the Pentax brand name and to future Pentax products. Very nicely done promotion!

Tethering obviously. It was lightning fast. Is that a flash remote wireless trigger on the top?

Yes they are Derek , we used similar ones During the K3 Launch.

They should consider Cactus V6.

They can fire studio strobes as well, aren't as ridiculously large as the big ones (PocketWizards?) and have more direct controls than the small ones (Broncolor) that I noticed in the video.

The Broncolor triggers may be able to remote control the power levels of the studio strobes. In that case, I'd keep them. The V6 can only do that with selected flashes (including the FGZ models).

Great video, BTW.

I noticed Joel Grimes already mentioned the 645Z in a Creative Live broadcast.

If only Ricoh could launch an FF model soon and kick off the same PR machine for it as well...

I saw that sometime ago; it's really a pathetic attempt to capitalize on the 645Z. I sincerely doubt he knew anything about Pentax MF, before or after the video was made.

They are showing some of the images on a laptop on Capture One software. I guess they are looking at jpegs as we have been told Capture One won't be tethering to Pentax as far as I know. If only this was true C1 tethering I would be over the moon!

Thanks for the clarification.

Two things will make the Z perfect for me.
1. Tethering and this should be sorted shortly once Pentax release there software.
2. Leaf shutter lenses.

I live in hope
