Why we need tilt-shift screen.

This is only one reason why we need those tilt-shift screen.

A lot more from a videographer point of view. Or, a macro, or architechtural, or many other.

It is the size of the camera so important? Give me a break. At last, when I have bought my first Pentax, it was the price/quality, not the size what's matter most. And I'm sure that this was the main reason for most of us.

These are the type of pictures that make "photographers" look bad...

I think one will benefit more from a 10-plus stop SR advantage

Here is another reason. I cannot get down this low with my K5. There is a lot of poop in these tracks for the dung beetles to roll around. This Sony A7 showed the real worth of the tilt screen

I like it. But to me the tilt is something more I can break. I'm uber careful and I have a chunk of metal broken out near the flash. A tilt screen might not last me 3 days.

I know that guy with the bird on his head. The bird is a scrub jay and they are known to land on you because people feed them. I'm not saying that he fed them.

If that is what happened to you you are by definition not uber careful.

More cameras have been damaged by dropping than tilting or vari-angle screens. The tilting screen on the MX-1 is very strong, I can't see it ever breaking unless I do so deliberately.
Pentax build cameras well.
I've had vari-angle screens on G series canons, Camcorders and a friend had the Pentax 750Z (2004) which had a vari-angle-screen. Never a problem, never even got lose.
People should not worry about damaging them, unless they are the clumsy type
