Ricoh GR A Jack of all Trades

Hi all,

I have had my GR for a couple of weeks now and am so very much impressed with it. I have run it through most of its paces in comparison to what I was doing with my K30. I have to say I think the high ISO capabilities are better with the GR. The only area where it can not compare it with true macro but that was to be expected. Anyways my final comparison was with something that a good mate and myself like to get out and do and that is spinning burning steel wool. The look on my mates face when I rocked up with the GR on my tripod was priceless, he is a massive Nikon FF man. I think the end results speak for themselves, my bud was more than impressed.

Cheers

J

I am seriously wanting a GR (don't say that too loud) but they are slightly above my price point for a camera like that. Sub $500 is where I think it is appropriate.

I think you will be waiting a while for a price like that. The GR seems to be priced in the neighborhood of the other fixed lens APS-C sized cameras are.

Great and interesting shots and like you I have had my GR a few weeks and love it. Got to be one of the best small cameras out there.
