but didn't we confirm that there was a confirmed rumor for FF years ago? can you confirm that the current confirmed rumor is the same as the previous confirmed rumor?

Actually, that has been the perfect response, every time. Whenever the market forces are right, they release the camera, grin and point to their prior statements as absolutely truthful.

OTOH, this does greatly simplify my decision making...

- No Pentax FF
- 645Z is the flagship. Nice.
- 645Z service might be Japan only (ok, as long as I know it)
- The best APS-C dSLR ever made, the K-3, and grip, is now < $999

You win this round, Pentax Marketing Department.

I guess all the Japaneses camera brands has made DSLR market arranged. Every player takes a role in this market. And Pentax takes only APS-C and 645, out of the FF mainstream market.
