2016 is too early. Ricoh have to 'study market conditions'. That is a very difficult task, and takes time. Maybe 2020.
Only after Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, Casio and Samsung have introduced full-frame cameras will Pentax launch one of their own.

I do not care, never did,
well if Pentax will bring FF in K-3 size body and reasonable priced, I might consider, have plenty of FF lenses.
On the other hand I would be much happier if Pentax would resurrect the original Q and bring limited gunmetal edition with Q-S1 or better sensor , high resolution EVF and also with increased resolution LCD back monitor.

In 2016 Pentax will be almost ready, but will have to put the plans on hold because of another takeover, this time by Toyota. Then, understandably, it will take a couple years to get everything in order. So in 2020 they will probably start the market research on the feasibility of a full frame camera

If anything, the Pentax digital Full Frame issue has been an interesting study of the human mind.

Thinking someone could get grant money to consolidate all of the responses and outcries on this forum from specific people into a short white paper or article published in some psychology text. It would have a long title such as 'Subjective knowledge of inference models in time delayed situations.'

Perhaps a kickstarter as a failsafe? Raise the capital for the members of PF to launch the Tenpax FF for Photokina 2016.
Don't even need to do R&D, just raise enough to license the new Samsung, add a little caulk for WR and call it done.

I... actually think they will put out a full frame in the next few months. But that's just because I'm a pessimist, and I've now given up on Pentax releasing a full frame.

Probably easier just to buy another brand of camera.

I think Pentax will come out with a half frame medium format camera, calling it the 322.5, before they introduce a 35mm FF DSLR. This is, of course, after the merger with Phillips is complete.

Photokina 2012 - Interview:
Reporter: "Will there be a full-frame K-mount model in the future?"

John Carlson of Pentax: "All I can say is that we're studying the market."

Photokina 2014 - Interview:
Reporter: "As you indicated in previous interviews, are you still considering expanding the K-mount camera system to use sensors larger than APS-C?

Ricoh: "....... we will want to carefully study the market trend."

Photokina 2016 - Interview:
Reporter: "Are there any plans to bring a full-frame K-mount to market in my lifetime?"

Ricoh "Over the last 6 years we have developed the largest, most complex market analysis program in the industry. Nobody know the full-frame market as well as we do. We will continue to study the market and we have regular product marketing meetings. We hope that someday, someone who knows what to do will show up to one of these meetings. The best way to improve the odds of seeing a full-frame digital K-mount camera in your lifetime would be for you to eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get annual physicals."
