Tamron for pentax in sydney

I am visiting Sydney for 5 days and wishing to buy the Tamron SP AF 28-75 f/2.8 XR Di LD
Mount - Pentax AF
any recommendation from the local guys ?

Just in the Sydney CBD,
digidirect in King St
Digital Camera Warehouse in Kent St
Teds in Pitt St

All usually have Pentax stuff at hand, or nearby.

Thanks to Mark (Facebook) I posted a request on Tamron's FB page and got this reply:
Tamron Australia: Hi Ofer, unfortunately due to lack of popularity we have not had that lens available in a Pentax mount in Australia for quite some time now so I can't point you to any retailers who would be sure to have stock in Sydney during your visit.

I guess Having Pentax makes us specials and hard to find..

My advice would be to just call or email the retailers listed. One of them is bound to have an old Tamron 28/75 floating around somewhere in inventory. They can all check their stock right across their network of stores, and usually can arrange quick transfer store-to-store.

These guys might be worth a try they say no grey imports and seem to have tamron with k mount, I stumbled across them when looking for a Tamron 70-200 f/2.8

If you don't get any joy on availability of the Tamron, would the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 IF EX DG HSM fit the bill.
It is an excellent lens.

Thank you guys. Sigma announced 28-70 for pentax as continued.
used Schraubstock advice and just ordered the Tamron (on the last link) and hope to get it within 2 weeks in my home address!!.

If not I suspect shipment would be faster to Sydney, in which case you may be able to have it delivered to your hotel in Sydney. The hotel will keep it for you if you inform them of your action. I have done this sort of thing before, it works.

Got it from HK. didn't have to pay tax since the guys in HK stated "Gift 24$ " on the declaration

its a great lens.
