Is there a warranty you can add to an International (Gray Market) Camera?

Is there a US capable extended warranty like the 2 year extension sold by Adorama and B&H that covers cameras that are not sold by US Distributors? I have looked at this and found squaretrade offers a warranty but it's pretty pricey.

I think third-party warranties are really the only choice. Some grey market sellers offer third-party warranties at the time of purchase, not sure if this applies in your case.

Thanks Adam. I will investigate further. No problems with the device so (knock on wood) no need for warranty work.

If you bought using a card like American Express or another one that automatically doubles warranty, that might be worth checking out (assuming you have a base warranty to begin with).

A credit card warranty from Amex will only double a manufacturer's warranty, AFAIK.

So there would still be no warranty.
