I would have enjoyed them more if they didn't mention they were taken with a Canon

Great pictures.
What really amazed me was Frozen Planet series, especially "The Making Of Frozen Planet". I have deepest respect for people who have worked there in such extreme weather.

I'd like to know how the camera traps were setup.

Had to be shot in Auto exposure mode; were the flashes setup on a timer to not fire when the sun was up?
And was it pre-focused or was they a way to get the camera to focus once trigger by motion sensor?

Very cool!
