Look up tonight! The Northern Lights will put on a spectacular display

QuoteQuote:
An increase in solar activity means the chances of seeing the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, tonight in places like Canada, the northern US, Scandinavia, Scotland and even England and are greater than usual.

Arrrgh! Complete overcast here!

I do hope it clears here, as I'm under extremely dark skies, and have enjoyed watching these beautiful shows in the past.

As usual, and the same story goes here when the meteor season is on .... complete "sky wipe out" tonight !
We have been having terrible conditions for the past 6 days but, good luck those who will be able to see and capture the show!
Cheers!

Best source for real-time (not predicted) solar activity:

AuroraWatch UK

Brought to you by astrophysicists at the University of Lancaster.

Activity was extremely high last night, people saw it all the way down in Devon. A shame I missed it.

Way too south, no chance at all in seeing the lights and hearing the subtle hiss!
