A few more flowers....

A few more shots with the DA 55-300 and Raynox DCR-150

I'm assuming the first shot wasn't with the DCR-150, correct? Too much in focus for that attachment to be there. These are nice but your DOF is kind of shallow. Which aperture did you use?

theyre all with the raynox actually. its just that the flower is so tiny (less than half inch in diameter). first photo was around 85mm, 2nd at 170mm and 3rd at 300mm. aperture was f/16 for all of them.

Backing the lens off would give you that effect. I was under the impression because you didn't elaborate that fact, that the first one was taken without the Raynox.

Where was your focus? At infinity or the lower end?

i always keep focus at infinity and aperture at f/16. i then move back and forth to achieve desired focus.

edit : I actually just checked the photos and the 2nd one was at f/11.i mustve touched the dial accidentally
