The back yard is full of spiders. I have not seen so many until I starting taking macro

SunPark dx-8r Thyristor ringflash

This afternoons macros were taken with an antiquated ring flash in rough shape. In fact I didn't think it worked until I hit it a few times.

I think I like ringflash now.

I have noticed that I have to be very careful with any sharpening. It looks sharp enough.

Which lens did you use? I am using a SMC Pentax F 50mm f2.8 (fast becoming my favourite lens)

A*200mm f4 macro

And another spider ..... this shot was taken with the built in flash. Definitely gives a different look when compared to the ringflash

I hope to have its bigger brother in the near future (F 100 f2.8).... it is on its way

My macro set is complete on its arrival. No FA*200mm f4 but I anticipate that I will never own that one ....

Still on the way? Currently the price for FA*200mm F4 is on ceiling. No reason to buy it given a new Sigma 180mm 2.8 is only $1600.. Let's wait Pentax relaunch FA*200mm F4... HD FA*200mm F4 ED DC IF MACRO :-)

Eric is cleaning it. HE is taking a little longer than anticipated with the shipment. Oh, well, no need to rush him - I'm sure it will arrive soon with little fan fare

I do look forward to using it though.

Meanwhile, DCShooter is playing with my Vivitar 100mm f2.8 - a refinish job. We are about to start anodising .... we will be sharing photos of this makeover
