Please give me some photos taken with cheap and/or legacy lenses to show Canikons

I am in a bit of a debate with a Nikon fanboy on another board.

I would love some good photos taken with cheap and/or legacy lenses to illustrate my point.

I will definitely give proper credit to the individuals.

I also posted this under the general section but macro photos are often amazing.

Thanks and this board rocks!

Here are a few, but its a lost cause. It's difficult for others to change their minds....Then there is the body count approach. Here are some 6,081 different lenses across 376 brands of lenses that use either the M42 or K mount. A large enough selection from which to choose?Good luck....

The words "Nikon fanboy" tells me that no image will change this person's mind. Not blaming him, as I'm now a dyed-in-the-wool Pentax fangal! When we love our equipment, we tend to turn a blind eye to other makes.

Take a look at the thread ""The Bob Ross of Bug Photography's Macro Tips." This guy uses the K-30 together with a reversed lens and a diffuser made of a paper towel for some outstanding photos. If this doesn't change someone's mind, they truly meet the definition of fanboy.

It is impossible to reason a person out of a position that they haven't reasoned themselves into. So, good luck on that . . .

A few are shots of lenses, but most here are shots taken with Rikenons - especially the Rikenon-P 28mm and XR 70-150 f/4 zoom. I miss both of them!

Thanks!

Is the Sigma 28-80 the cheap macro one? And, if so, what version, please?
Thanks again,

Yep, it is indeed the "cheap one." There is no model number, but around the inside of the barrel it says "Sigma Zoom 28-80mm f:3.5 - 5.6 " and it is a true 1:2 macro magnification. IIRC, I paid about $20.00 for it on eBay. A superb lens and quite sharp. Sigma 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 Macro Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

I have the 28-90 macro version of this lens (Quantaray-branded) and agree - it's hard to beat for the $$. Mine is a v.5 for what it's worth. There are also non-macro variants which are identical except they lack the macro switch on the side. The macro function is actually quite usable and fun! Many images & discussion of these lenses here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/122-lens-clubs/79149-cheap-af-28ish-80ish...lens-club.html

I shot these with an old Pentax-M 50mm f4 macro that I picked up for 50 bucks. Camera was a Pentax K200.

All I use are legacy/manual/off-brand lenses. I have images from each lens broken down in my sets in Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/somedonkus/sets

Silver Princess flower

This was shot with an SMC 50 f1.2 (circa early 1980s) on a 2x macro teleconverter.
Not exactly a cheap lens, but certainly a legacy one.
(It was actually cheap enough for me, as I bought it with a K2 in the mid '80s for $200 all up.)

$26 M 50mm F4. A slight dent in the metal filter ring. Bought on fleabay, last spring.

Cross posted.

I don't think you can do this with canikon, for less than $100s.
