Does the screen face down on the K-S2

I'm looking to put a K-S2 on a microscope, but I need the screen to face to the base plate for it to work correctly.

Can anyone with a K-S2 confirm if the screen can face down?

Thanks,

Matt

I doubt it. The electronics would not be able to twist 360 degrees, it has to stop somewhere.

I don't know about the K-S2, but I had a Canon Powershot over 10 years ago that had a screen that could. Not a problem in theory. It would be normally be placed "screen down" towards the body for storage, then you'd flip it around when you want to use it, and you could flip it out and point it forward so you could see the screen while you take selfies, and could rotate endlessly on one axis (tilting). It could face any direction basically...

Yes!

Hi Matt,

I just checked and it can be rotated to face the base. When you turn it on the screen is right side up too if the camera is facing down, so you should be good. I tried out the ImageSync app yesterday and it worked great, so you might consider that if you've got a smart phone.

Mars,

Thank you. This camera looks to be the answer for us as a replacement on our stereoscope. Can't seem to find another camera in our price range that has all the toys that the K-S2 has.
