Clean grease from aperture ring

Hello all,

I have a 35mm M f/2.8 that has a very slow aperture, but the blades seem clean.

Looking through the disassembly database, I found this link that perfectly describes the symptoms.
SMC PENTAX-M 1:2.8 35mm disassembly.

My question is, the instructions don't mention how to clean the grease from the ring.

I've read that lighter fluid with a paint brush should suffice. But is there a better recommendation?

Thanks all!

I didn't have lighter fluid, so I used qtips dipped into isopropanol (alcohol used for cleaning, got it from a pharmacy). It evaporates very fast, leaving no residues. Make sure no lints fall of the qtip.

Probably not the best solution, but it worked for me.
