I know someone who has the Rokinon 14mm. It looked pretty sharp but I think the corners had quite a bit of coma.
pinholecam has a very evenly sharp and good looking shot using the K-1 and Samyang 14mm in the K-1 in Singapore thread, FWIW.

Also - pls folks, no need to post 7000 x 4000 pixel images directly into forum posts. It kills the page layout in many browsers. 1000px wide will do fine.

I imagine it'll make a awesome landscape lens, and I'm still considering buying one myself. I just not sure I'd recommend it for stars/milkyway type shots, but then again I don't have one and just judging from a few shots I have seen with the lens via 3rd party. The picture by Pinholecam is very nice indeed.

So, after starting the "Will you be shooting at 36MP thread" I've since bought one and went out today to finally take some proper outdoor pictures!
I don't have any particularly good lenses yet, so everything so far's been done with the 35mm DA L F2.4 AL and the smc Pentax-DA L 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6AL WR that was bundled with my K-50.

Also using a Tiffen circular polarizer and some post in Lightroom.

And this one with Pixel Shift Resolution:

More to come soon!

It is amazing to find out that even the DA 35 can really perform well using the K-1.

May I request to please do the same for the DA 21?

Thank you

The DA 21 vignettes badly, as might be expected. See PENTAX K-1 Laboratory | PENTAX K-1 Special site | RICOH IMAGING

You can also check for the performance of many DA lenses in this topic: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/54-pentax-lens-articles/31629-da-lenses-f...ts-thread.html

Since nobody reads that topic, or doesn't want to sift through 30 pages, I'll just leave this tidbit here too:

...Regarding the DA 10-17 at 14mm. It has been previously confirmed that the lens covers full-frame at this focal length, but it has another surprise. Look at these two images shot from a stationary tripod, SR off:

The top image is from the Pentax-F Fisheye 17-28mm at 17mm, it's widest setting. This lens is a 180 diagonal fisheye at 17mm, same as the 10-17 is to an APS-C camera at 10mm.
The bottom image comes from the DA 10-17 at 14mm! It has a dramatically larger field of view than the 17-28.

The difference even holds up when both lenses are focused to infinity. Anyone wanting an ultra-wide for their K-1 would do well to hold onto their 10-17.

Thank you for the links Paul,

It is really nice that the DA 35 is spared of being unusable. ('Tis could be a reason to push a K-1...next year)

Wow thanks for sharing!!!

Manual focus is a breeze with the OVF. Actually i am enjoying it much more than with the K3 + S type screen
