Hi,

Is anyone using the K-1 with mains attachment via DC-in?

I'm wondering about power adapters ... Pentax seem to have a very expensive one, but this is fairly basic stuff (although dangerous if poor quality). Any recommendations?

There is a generic one on Amazon for €33:

It's up to you to decide whether or not the potential risk is worth the €60-70 savings. I'd lean toward the genuine adapter personally, as it will likely work with future camera models too.

Which power adapter are you looking at? Here in the UK I got the K-AC132H for £29.99 (it comes with a UK plug on the mains lead, though). I got mine at Bristol Cameras:

Thanks for the replies.

Seems the prices vary somewhat. I'd only seen the K-ac132 at B&H for 100 dollars.

Is this the 'correct' adapter for the K-1? Pentax don't say on their site.

Ricoh's UK website shows the KAC132E for both the K-3II and K-1. I have the KAC132H which I use with my K-3 and K-3II. I'm guessing the E and H are simply revisions of the same unit, as the version sold in the US is simply listed as KAC132... So, yes - it's the correct adapter
