The Camera Store TV end-of-the-year best and worst of 2016 video rated the K-1 as the second best camera behind the Nikon D500. I found the video via the PetaPixel website. Don't let the drinking theme deter you. The video is about 32 minutes so I certainly didn't watch it all, but instead skipped to the Pentax-related portions. The K-1 segment starts at 12:30. They really like the K-1, as do I. They also rated the Pentax 15-30 lens as the worst lens of 2016, which disturbed me as this lens is very high on my wish list. This segment starts around 19:38. It turns out that the reason for the dislike was the pricing relative to the Tamron 15-30. They point out that the lens stabilization is removed for the Pentax version and yet the price is significantly higher, at least in Canada. I can't argue with that point, and that's probably why I don't already have this lens. It's like Pentax has a hostage customer base for this lens so they will charge what they wish to charge with logic set aside. That approach is not endearing to the brand. But they really liked the technical merits of the lens. Anyway, some good kudos for the K-1 certainly.
