Hello, can't test this at any local stores as the K70 isn't stocked here. Does anyone with a K70 and a shoe mount flash know if there is a noticeable shutter lag when shooting with shoe mount flash in pttl mode? K3II has a lag. Thanks very much, Mark

It has to have a lag in TTL because it first takes a lightmeter reading from one flash trigger then exposes with another flash trigger with the adjusted parameters.

Yes, there is a short lag on both the K-3 and K-3II. I had my K-3 for over a year and never noticed the lag until I read about it here on Pentax Forums. As noted above, it only happens with P-TTL flash. As for whether the behavior is present on the K-70 is hard to say and may even be hard for owners to determine and share with you. For the K-3, it took a user with an oscilloscope to characterize the actual time difference (~0.1s). Since the K-70 traces its lineage through the K-S2, I would expect that its flash behavior will follow that camera (i.e. no reported lag).

I don't have too much knowledge on that subject but I have tried my Pentax AF-360FGZ on my K70 and didn't notice any lag.
