Recently, I bought my first remote control shutter release device. It was ridiculously cheap.....(eBay) $6.99 with free shipping from California.... so I was somewhat skeptical, thinking there was a catch to the deal. It was a genuine Pentax product, NIB. But, I thought, WTH.... even IF it is a dud, it's not much of a gamble.
It arrived Monday and after monkeying around with it for a while, I was amazed! I've never had or used such a thing before.... only the ancient shutter release cable. This new gadget not only trips the shutter remotely, it operates the auto focus too! My oh my.... I'm like a kid with a new toy at Christmas! Can't wait for the hummingbirds to show up! I'm gonna' put this thing to work!
