Pentax auto aperture wide angle 28mm fast F2 vintage lens.It is cosmetically excellent but has a couple of issues to be noted.I had the lens inspected by Eric a couple of months ago mainly because it had a visible tiny speck inside the rear element.My invoice stated by Eric is as follows:
"I did not find the speck but noticed one of the elements showed signs of separation. Just a slight discoloration around the edge. It is okay right now but may get worse." It still has the tiny speck,but you have to hold it at just the right angle.Otherwise it is cosmetically and functionally excellent,snappy aperture,smooth focus etc.Neither issue has an impact on the photos taken with the lens..If you buy the lens and find it not to your liking,I will pay the return postage.It includes both caps

Wow! Why isn´t there an AF version of this beauty!? 215 grams weight, 49mm thread... Fits the limited series! Though AF would add to the 63mm diameter... (exact limited diameter)

The A28/2's are a scarce lens. An A28/2 was sold on Fleabay a few days ago, which I pondered but didn't bite.First one I'd seen for quite some time. I'm really trying to corner the M series market (for no particularly rational reason) as you can probably tell from my signature block, so keeping an eye out for a M28/2 that's not exorbitantly priced. The M28/2's are also a seriously uncommon lens - I see one or two turn up each year, but the pricing is a bit painful. Instead, the spare change has just been spent on a M400/5.6 acquisition, just to go to the other extreme of focal length. Just got a tracking email tonight that the M400 has arrived in Australia from Japan, so not far away now (456 miles to be precise). Meant to be in Excellent++ condition, so looking forward to getting my hands on it - or to borrow from Heie's just posted 18-135 review, my 'sandwich clamps'.
