Used only a few times. It has markings on the casing where I had taped velcro to it and the tape left some residue and some film. It worka perfectly and haa been bought new in 10/2014. People like to see it works.  I'm not doubting your word but they say people are strange characters and photos are worth a thousand words. I had a flash I sold not long ago and I believe showing it works with batteries in, sold it quicker than one that didn't have batteries in.
