An unconventional approach to wide angle shots. I've enjoyed time with both the SMC 17mm and F 17-28 fisheyes in the past so I know what to expect. Images with a fisheye expand one's creativity and lead to very eye-catching results. The 10-17 can get up very close to pull a subject up close and leave everything else behind! This is a typical sample of the 10-17 and I figured it would be satisfactory since I could not acquire a DA14/15 prime..until I did

$205 DA 17-70mm f/4 SDM -- $185 through 7/15 -- $Pending!
This is a remanufactured Pentax lens bought at the Woot! blowout last month. It was a great match with my DA* 50-135.. until it left. I now own great primes at 15-24-40-50mm so the 17-70 just won't get enough use to stay around. It's been tuned to good-as-new condition, SDM works great and I have no fear of it. I only paid $240 for it so the incredible Woot! price just got a little better.

Loved my 10-17. I now have a Tokina 10-17 that is supposedly optically the same, and it works at the longer end on FF, a happy bonus.
