Seems strange indeed - well the usual maintenance - clear temp files, scan disk and defrag - keep temp IE files to around 100mb (instead of the default 5% ) constant sized swap file.

I find with IE7 the tabs are nice but if I run more than 5 or 6 I start to get into issues. The issues are site dependant.

The next time it is slow try this at the DOS/Command prompt.

tracert www<dot>pentaxforums<dot>com (replace the <dot> with . )

that should indicate if there is a bottle neck somewhere along the way. Gnerally anything over 100ms is 'slow' but slow is all relative

Edit: I just did that command 12 hops to get there from here 1 was 229ms all others were < 100 - response is good for me now. I am on a 3mb/1mb down/up DSL connection
