| I did long exposures. Essentially I did what I saw recommended/related here and at other sites: F8-F11, Bulb mode w/ wired remote/ ISO 200, and just experimented with capture times from 3-4 seconds, all the way up to 22 seconds or so.
The trees were in the way, but it was the best vantage point I had available, really.
And, yes, Newport does do fireworks in a big way on the 4th.
