Morning!

Hello everyone

My name is Edmund, I'm 20 and from Somerset, UK.
Photography is a relatively recent revelation for me - I've been taking a year out before starting a degree in Japanese at university, and last October I happened to pick up a Chinon CE-5 SLR in a charity shop for £8.50, thinking 'this might be interesting'. As I'm sure many of you know, this is where the slippery slope begins.
I shoot mainly film using Pentax K-mount cameras, mostly Pentax, Chinon and Cosina. I occasionally shoot digitally using a Pentax Q10. Neither medium is necessarily better than the other - I just mainly shoot film because it's purely a hobby and I have time and find it very interesting.

I've used pentaxforums as a useful reference several times as I've grown my collection and expanded my knowledge base, and now I feel ready to join! I'd like to thank everyone who has previously unknowingly helped me out, you all seem like great people here.

Welcome to the forum, you could be a handy guy to know, when we're all trying to broker deals to feed our LBA direct from Japan.

I've actually been camera shopping in Japan - it's an experience each and every photography nerd should have at least once in their life. Camera stores there are big and small, chain and indie and they're all mind boggling. One tiny place I went to in the basement of a karaoke club had a line of new old stock Spotmatics and ES IIs still in their original boxes for sale.
This is the fujifilm fridge at Yodobashi Camera in Shinjuku - there's an equally large Kodak one and another one with Ilford black and white films and developing chemicals.
