Welcome aboard!

My short story on the K-3 is that I find it to be a seriously good camera. It tends to be rather unforgiving, though. Good technique and good lenses will make the K-3 shine. Definitely a good step up from the K-5 "classic" in a lot of ways.

I haven't yet had enough time for post processing images to figure out new import settings in LR, but I have noticed that my settings for the K-5 is not optimal for the K-3. Will hopefully get more time for "darkroom" work over the next few months.

Welcome, I hear it's absolute rubbish... so you should pass it on to me and go get yourself something decent.

Seriously enjoy your new camera it's a great bit of kit by all accounts.

Welcome to the forum, mate.

If you haven't already done so, read this review:
Review: Pentax K-3 - Introduction | PentaxForums.com Reviews
It includes suggested settings for the K-3.

This is a seriously good camera.
