Pentax K-30 Noob, Hello!

I recently bought the Pentax K-30 (blue), it had great reviews and it matches my glasses! I'm a total noob. I've used lots of touristy cameras before, but nothing like this. So I'm here to learn. -Andrew

Specs:
Pentax K-30 Weather-Sealed 16MP CMOS Digital SLR Dual Lens Kit, 18-55mm and 50-200mm (Blue)

The K-30 is a great choice for a first DSLR! Not too difficult to learn, yet plenty of room to grow. I have one, too, and I love it! Welcome and have fun!

It's a jump up from most bridge or advanced P&S - with full controls so you control your images. You'll have fun learning, I'm sure.

I'm looking for my first dslr,Pentax of course and read many reviews and found k-30 one of the BEST overall.Just re-assuring you made correct decision.Best thing to do is 1.shoot,2shoot 3.shoot some more.No film costs and YOUR own experience (except problem you need help with)will always be the best for YOU.So experiment and be patient and you'll learn.Going to forums is great for big problems but little ones you might get 10 different 9-10 people who are wrong.(you'll see. Many DON'T read question and advise something which you SAID wasn't problem etc.)So as newbie I'd spend as much time alone figuring it out.Hands on best way for everything.Just 1 opinion that I just advised you to ignore!!Welcome to Pentax/photography.Remember:You learned to walk by yourself.Mommy/daddy only caught you when you were falling. And this is hands down best Pentax forum on net.So come here first.

Welcome aboard, I think that's the first time ever I've seen that criteria used as part of a camera selection process. It's good to have fun, happy people around the place, it counteracts the boring old farts like me.
