Hello all,

New member and virgin DSLR user/owner. Just picked up a K-2000 with 1:1.7 50mm, 1:3.5-5.6 18-55 and 1:4-5.6 50-200 lenses, full size tripod, brand new Vivitar flash, small case and a 16GB card for $300.00.

Look forward to picking brains and locating equipment/lenses here!

Learning from the ground up. Need a good beginners DSLR photography book now.

Thanks,
Rick

Thanks, I didn't really know how good it was but had an idea that I was getting a good deal.

I will share some images soon. What forum would I do that in?

Still looking for some suggestions on a good DSLR for beginners book.

I can't really help you with a book, sorry. You can have a look at the articles section here, you find penty of stuff about cameras, photography and post-processing. If you are more comfortable with a book (I like books in general, but I can't help you in this case), post a question, people are friendly and helpful around here :-)

If you would like to post some images, you can do that here.

Welcome! The K-2000 is a good camera to start on I just retired mine (first DSLR, had it for five years) for a K-3. I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely. If you just want to show off your pictures, go to the Post Your photos section. If you'd like feedback and critiquing, check out the Photo Critique section.
