Regarding AF speed, both the lens and body matter. Usually, in the realm of Pentax, the lenses lag behind what the body can do. I only have two lenses, the DA20-40 limited and the DA*50-135. Neither are super fast in AF-C with the K-3, but in good light, they do a fine job tracking a subject across the frame. Approaching the camera, well, not so much.
But then again, the 50-135 is known to be sluggish. The new DFA*70-200 is supposed to be much faster, but it isn't out yet... and well beyond my price range.
Edit- by the way, nice dogs!
Thanks Finchj,
and very best regards to Helsinki!
I use mostly Tamron 70-200mm f2,8 and pentax 50mm f1,4 they both should be quick lenses. Do You think the AF should be faster with K-3. Is there any speed different between K3 and K3II in real life? Currently I use K-30.
