Hello from Glasgow

Hello from Glasgow

I have been using the excellent source of information from the posters on this forum about Takumar lenses. I do not have a Pentax camera yet because I like to shoot full frame but I have a nice collection of Takumars which I use with a Canon.

My favourite Takumars are the 85mm F1.8 and 100mm F4 macro. I bought the macro lens from Mighty Mike last year and its my favourite macro lens to date I have had others but this just one gives me such nice shots.

Thanks for the welcome guys

Takumar 100mm F4 Macro

I have found this lens great for small light painting shots. Detail is very good stopped down to f22 and it does not seem to lose any sharpness. This picture of a vase and flowers is about 6 inches tall I set the aperture to f22 iso 100 and light painted it with a diffuser on a Olight Maverick flashlight for 30 secs. For the background and base I used telescope flocking material.
