Hello

Hi, my name is Jeff. I live in NW Florida. I enjoy landscape and wildlife photography as well as portraits of my family and pets. I guess my wife would say there is almost nothing I won't take a picture of. My camera is a Canon T4I. I have recently purchased some old k mount lenses and that is what brings me here.

I am really enjoying the feel of the old lenses. Many years ago my father owned a Pentax 35mm, don't remember the model, but I loved shooting with that camera. I believe it had a 50mm 1.8 or something along those lines. I really appreciate the ability of digital shooting verses the old 35mm film when it comes to seeing the actual image in real time as well as being able to shoot like crazy and not break the bank. I have a lot of respect for the old school guys who went out and made a living where forgetting a simple setting or mis-focus could ruin a roll of film and you would never know until it was over.

I have a few questions about my two new-to-me lenses so I am headed over to the troubleshooting forum in hopes of having my questions answered.

~Jeff

Welcome to the forum Jeff! There's lots of information about the Pentax legacy lenses in the Pentax Lens and Accessory section as well. If the lenses have the M42 screw mount there are inexpensive adapters to use them on your Canon. Looking forward to seeing some of your images.

Hi Jeff. Welcome aboard the forum. Any question that cannot be answered by someone on the forum, isn't about a Pentax !!!

Thanks for the welcomes! Already getting some helpful input.

Is there a way to edit my posts? Trying to avoid looking like a fool when I post something and don't catch the error until after the fact. I cant seem to find an "edit post" button.

I only have 3 options in bottom right- Multi-quote, quote, and quick reply buttons.... Maybe because I am new. I thought I had an edit button a while ago and I tried to edit a post then it never showed up as corrected and i can no longer find an edit button. Hopefully I didn't accidentally turn that feature off somehow, I could surely use it, and often!

Whats weird is if I navigate away from the page and come back the edit feature is gone. It was here as this post appeared so I went and checked my other posts and it still was not there. Returned and now it is gone from here as well. Is that only a one shot deal?
