Just received my K-1 and looking forward to testing it out. Have had a K-30 for a few years and have been very happy. Ready to move on up.

Unfortunately, the K-1 has a rattle that concerns me. Just posted in troubleshooting area if anyone can help. Thanks. Looking forward to getting help so I can get the most out of the K-1.

The traditional Pentax rattle should sound a lot like the K-30, which is the SR when power is off.. though with SR II it could be a bit different?

Welcome to the Forums. Movement in the SR makes a slight rattle if the camera is moved when it is turned off. The dust removal mechanism makes a bigger rattle if it is set to operate at start up or shutdown.

Welcome to the forum, rattle is good, it's more worrying if you don't hear it... as I believe that means the SR systems not working.
