Back to it

Hey,

Originally joined in 2010.. been away fro some time.

Purchased a gently used K7 back in late 2010 and still have it, I have been away from Pentax developments since 2011 and only recently rediscovered the hobby as life slowed down.

I am interested in some advice as to what exactly is a rational for an upgrade to the K-3ii, will it really make a difference for the recreational enthusiast?

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt. Welcome ( back ) to the Pentax forums !! Depending on what your preferred styles ( macro, landscape etc.) are will depend on whether you need to upgrade or not. I upgraded from the K20D to the K-3 and really enjoy the greater resolution ( I enjoy macro ). It also has other differences which I prefer. Frames per second, better low light focusing etc. Many members here can give you more insights than I about the K-7 to K-3II advantages. Good luck.
