Hey all,
I have roamed these pages every now and again when looking up thoughts on this or that. I recently was roaming a thread on the k70 and could hardly get through the page without the page becoming too laggy with the background video ads. Ultimately created the account to avoid the video ads. Almost made me close the tab (sorry - being honest). Anyhow... I am here.
I currently shoot a Pentax K7 with a range of lenses in my arsenal. I have a Pentax Honeywell film camera that I love but rarely use. I recently traded in my first DSLR (Samsung GX-1L) for the Samsung NX500 on a Samsung promo at PIX2015 in Seattle. However my wife confiscated that from me rather quickly. I like the video on the Samsung but the feel of my Pentax. Hoping the K3ii will be replaced by something with better video capabilities.
A little on my photo background...
I took a photo class in college. Previous to the class, I thought that DSLR's were a waste due to the size and since point n shoots compared in mp. Well, I soon learned that the quality wasn't in the mp but in the camera/lens. Sure, I had some decent shots with a point and shoot but not compared to any of my dslrs. Anywho... Became the instructor's assistant prepping the darkroom and assisting in the digital darkroom when needed. I have used both Apple and Windows but prefer my PC's.
What I like to shoot...
I have shot professionally a few times but I typically shoot for fun. Mostly scenery and family but occasionally the random person walking by.
