I don't bring my gear to work because I work in an office....not too exciting to take pics of, nor do I take it when getting groceries, or going to the bank.
If I heading to someone's house, travelling more than 15 minutes in the car, or with the family it is always with us. We take it all with us as my wife and I both like to shoot...so we each have a body and share the lenses in the bag.
The only pain in the butt about always having the camera with you is that whenever other people are around they always want a copy of the shots....and we may not plan to pp the picks for a month or so (in between shoots for our business). Sometimes that's a bit annoying...
Glad we always have it with us though....never know when the urge is gonna strike!
