seeing this thread on DP Review with links to a Korean website that compares the new LX3 to the LX2 I would definitely just wait on the LX3 unless you prefer the zoom range on the LX2. It looks like the LX3 smokes the LX2 (as well as every other 10+ megapixel small sensor camera) in every possible IQ test.
