Let me ask the question differently:
Does a version of the Manfrotto/Bogen 785B MODO MAXI TRIPOD with a loading capacity of over 4lbs exist (at around $100)?

If it does not, I need to look at something different, like:
- Vanguard MARS 1
- Vanguard Tourist 5
- Hakuba / Velbon Mini F
- Joby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom
- Slik Sprint Mini
- Slik Sprint Pro

Which one would you choose? You can had other ones if you think there are better ones.
