I keep forgetting that you are in Sweden..I've read several places recently of people that mailed their 67 camera back to Japan as the only way to get it repaired..If worse comes to worse, this might be an option for you..

Perhaps Mike Cash, Chris Wilson, or one of the other members of this forum that live & work in Japan might chime in as to the feasibility of your sending a camera to Japan for repairs??..

Are there not several highly regarded Pentax repair techs still working in Britain??..Have you looked in that direction for spare parts??..

Thanks for your long and informative posts.

I have mailed Pentax in Germany, but still waiting for a reply. The Swedish division of Pentax, relay everything anyway to germany. I am starting to think that there is no Swedish Pentax anymore, at all.

It's a shame really. I'll wait and see what Pentax reply to me about CLA and service. But if I have to send stuff to Japan to get it fixed, I think I will look at a Hasselblad or Mamiya system instead. Atleast HB is Swedish .

But it would have been fun to use Pentax 67 and 645, since I can adapt the lenses to the K10D. However, there is always a limit of personal sacrifice to get what you want. Maybe it's just time to forget about the 67 before I get used and hooked to it .

Ofcourse the HB and Mamiya also have digital backs that are getting down to "possible" prices on the used market.

Well, I'll see what Pentax tells me. I genuinly thought that both 67 and 645 was 100% supported still by Pentax. I am kind of disappointed.

Regards,
Daniel
