Netbooks are as named basically for net only use, if you need storage you'll need to sometimes add a DVD player/burner, they're now coming out with more "feature filled" ones but they cost as much as a notebook now.

Since she's blind, keyboard size would be very important, that's not going to happen with the current Netbooks.

You're better off going with a Notebook with one generation older processor unless she needs the speed? the one advantage if you can call it so; that netbooks have other that smaller footprint, is the solid state HD they have although very small in capacity compared to Notebooks.
