Photoshop removing some exif datas?

I've noticed that when saving dng as jpg in CS6, some exif datas are lost.

Concretely - and regrettably - the lens type.

Is there some setting/method how to prevent PS from doing this?

The easiest option is to use ExifTool/ExifTool GUI to copy stuff like makernotes etc from the PEF/DNG files back into the JPEGs.

I've got the habit of using the "Xmp:description" field for noting down lens used (manual ones and third party don't show correctly in the Makewr LensType field), and setup (tripod, timer, flash).
It's a chore, but I'd rather have the data as a reference, it's useful to learn from any mistake one could have made!

OK, seems like the lens info in raw is part of the "Maker" chart. These datas are gone after saving as jpg. Adding "LensModel" into Exif (I tried using ExifTool GUI, Exiftool direct instrument) brings it back, but I'd call it... tiresome. Can't fully understand why lens info (one of most important exif entries, right?) should be deleted during dng->jpg conversion.

Photoshop CS6 doesn't preserve MakerNotes. The lens name should be written into several EXIF fields though, including the "XMP-aux Lens" field where websites such as Flickr seem to look for it.
