Need old Pentax Digital Camera Utility Software
Hi -
I run Ubuntu (vers. 14.04) on my laptop. One task I use my laptop for is to work on process photos in my spare time. I've tried several Linux-based photo processing programs. They're all capable and I can get good results from them. However, I believe the Pentax processing software works very efficiently because it puts all the essential adjustments together, or makes them easy to get to. So I want to use the Pentax software on my laptop (I realize the Pentax software versions I've worked with 2.1 - 3.61 were made by SilkyPix).
I've installed WINE, the Linux program that allows you to run windows software, then the Pentax processing software. I've found that versions 3.61 and 3.51 have a display problem in the photo lab window that causes vertical stripes and green-blue discoloration. I've found that the oldest version of the software I have - 2.1 doesn't have this problem. I'd like to try using version 3.0 of the browser and photo lab software (PPBRWS03.exe and PPHLAB03.exe) but I can't find them online. Does anyone know if these versions are subject to distortion run in Linux (using WINE), if not, does anyone know where I can download them? (Or if there are later versions of Pentax processing software that don't show distortion when run in linux?)
Thanks
